Chelsea’s backroom staff under new head coach Liam Rosenior has been confirmed.

Rosenior took his first training session in his new role at Cobham on Friday, and now the coaching staff that will work under the Englishman has been confirmed.

It comes after Standard Sport reported earlier on Thursday that the Chelsea Under-21s head coach Calum McFarlane will be joining Rosenior as one of his coaches, having impressed Rosenior during his two-match stint as Chelsea’s caretaker head coach following the departure of Enzo Maresca.

Kalifa Cisse and Justin Walker have been appointed as Rosenior’s two assistant head coaches, having taken up the same roles under the Englishman at Strasbourg, Chelsea’s sister club also owned by the BlueCo consortium that runs Chelsea.

Ben Warner was Strasbourg’s head of analysis and has joined Chelsea as first-team analyst.

McFarlane becomes first-team coach, with Harry Hudson set to step up to become the Chelsea Under-21s’ new head coach, having previously operated as McFarlane’s assistant.

Ben Roberts had been Chelsea’s head of global goalkeeping but becomes the new goalkeeper coach. Bernardo Cueva, a club hire from Brentford in 2024, has stayed on from Maresca’s staff as the lead set-piece coach.

The new staff’s first match in the dugout together will come on Saturday when Chelsea visit Charlton in the FA Cup third round.
