Chelsea are not considering a move to sign AC Milan forward Santiago Gimenez, despite reports.

The West Londoners have been linked with Gimenez, who is open to leaving Milan before the deadline. Gimenez has been linked with AS Roma as part of a potential swap-deal involving Artem Dovbyk.

The Mexico international only joined Milan from Feyenoord in January and has scored six times in 22 appearances for the Serie A side. He previously enjoyed a prolific period in the Netherlands, where netted 65 goals in two-and-a-half seasons at Feyenoord.

Chelsea have been named as suitors, following Liam Delap’s hamstring injury. However, Fabrizio Romano has ruled out an approach from the Blues for Gimenez, with Enzo Maresca having instead recalled Marc Guiu from his loan spell at Sunderland.

Chelsea are set to allow Nicolas Jackson to depart with fresh terms agreed with Bayern Munich. The Senegal international will join Bayern on an initial loan deal with an obligation to make the move permanent.
