Real Madrid’s search for midfield reinforcements is already taking shape ahead of the summer transfer window, and one of the latest names to enter the conversation is Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez. 

The Argentine midfielder has been linked with a move to the Spanish capital in recent days, with reports suggesting he is on the club’s shortlist.

As previously reported, Real Madrid are expected to strengthen their midfield in the summer, and Enzo appears to be one of the profiles being closely followed. 

His mix of creativity, work rate, and goal threat makes him an attractive option for a team that is going through a transition in the centre of the pitch.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea have said to value the Argentine at between €100 million and €120 millio.

Real Madrid are believed to be considering a move once the summer window opens, but the final decision will depend on whether they view that valuation as realistic. 

The Spanish side are known for their careful planning in the transfer market, and any deal of this size would require a serious financial commitment.

The situation could also change depending on Enzo’s performances on the international stage. 

This is because his price tag may rise even further if he impresses at the upcoming FIFA World Cup, where he is expected to play a key role for Argentina.

From a sporting perspective, the midfielder fits a clear need in Real Madrid’s squad. 

Since the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, the team has lacked a similar profile, a player capable of controlling the tempo while also contributing in advanced areas.

Enzo offers exactly that combination. He is comfortable dictating play from deep, but he can also push forward and make an impact near the opposition box. 

His technical quality and tactical intelligence make him a natural candidate to help lead the next generation of Real Madrid’s midfield.
