Chelsea’s team for the game against Manchester United today is out, and there’s one thing we’re really excited about.
Estevao Willian starts for the Blues on the right wing as part of reshuffled side that sees Cole Palmer play in the hole and Reece James return to right back.

We’ve seen a bit of Estevao already this season – he’s started two league games and come on as a sub in another. He’s even picked up an assist. But he missed the game against Brentford after coming back from international duty unwell, and only appeared in midweek against Bayern Munich for a few minutes at the end, with the game already almost lost.
This is a huge chance for him to start in a big game, and we can’t wait to see him inject some aggression and dynamism to an attack which has been pretty slow this season so far. Manchester United are going to have to come out and attack us a bit, and that should set things up perfectly for the winger.
What’s really fascinating today is the prospect of Estevao and Palmer linking up. This is their first start together in a competitive game.
They are two of the most creative and exciting players to pull on a Blue shirt in years, and to finally see them play together will be a treat. We hope there is already some chemistry – hopefully they will both be key parts of our attack for years to come.
It’s a big stage, with a struggling opposition who are going to have to come out and play – this is the perfect chance for the pair to show the world what they’re made of.
