After this happened, Chelsea and Liam Rosenior decided to sanction the midfielder for a couple of games as punishment for speaking about joining another club.
It was all rather odd and all rather frustrating for Chelsea as a club, and it was probably the last thing they needed right now after a rough run of form seen them struggling.

According to Argentine journalist Veronica Brunati, Chelsea still wants to improve Enzo Fernández’s contract, despite the pause in negotiations and the strong interest from some elite European clubs. If the player decides to leave, the stance is clear: they won’t let him go for less than £130 million.
Incredible amount of money that I don’t think they would have any chance of getting for him in all honesty.
After recent injury struggles, Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer says he is feeling much better now in news that will be very nice to hear for Blues fans. Palmer wore the captains armband for the club at the weekend, and they need him fit and firing.
Palmer also says the 7-0 thrashing of Port Vale on Saturday night will give everyone a much needed lift going into a crucial run of games for the rest of the season.
