Chelsea striker saga set to end as deal agreed to join German giants

Nicolas Jackson's protracted departure from Chelsea is finally resolved after the club reached a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old striker will join Bayern on an initial loan worth £14.3m, with an obligation to buy for £56.2m contingent on a specific number of appearances.
The deal was struck after more than 48 hours of uncertainty, during which the transfer initially collapsed and Jackson defied Chelsea's request to return to London.
Chelsea had initially halted the deal following a hamstring injury to striker Liam Delap, which is expected to keep him out for six to eight weeks.
Jackson's departure, alongside Christopher Nkunku's move to AC Milan and Delap's injury, leaves Joao Pedro as Chelsea's sole fit number nine, while Facundo Buonanotte has joined on loan.
