Chelsea are assessing the conditions of a deal for Rennes centre-back Jérémy Jacquet, according to L'Équipe.
The 20-year-old France Under-21 international, capped 5 times, has excelled this season at the heart of Rennes' back three, attracting major clubs.

The London club are sounding out the terms of a potential transfer, for this window or the next.
Rennes do not intend to sell this winter, and Jacquet is under contract until 2029, unless an offer deemed irresistible is made.
Rennes are thought to value him at more than €70m. Early contact has been made rather than concrete negotiations, and Chelsea appear to be positioning themselves.
