Chelsea’s Axel Disasi turns down Tottenham move | OneFootball

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have accepted an offer from Tottenham Hotspur to take Axel Disasi (26) on loan. However, the player has rejected this approach as he has already agreed personal terms with Aston Villa.

Romano further adds that Chelsea have no intention of allowing Disasi to go to Aston Villa as the two teams are currently competing for a sport in next season’s Champions League. Chelsea do not want to strengthen their direct opposition for the final months of the season.

Disasi had been hopeful of leaving West London before the end of the transfer window. The centre-back has been a captain for the club during their Europa Conference League campaign but has struggled for minutes outside of this competition, and has made only six appearances in the league.

The France international arrived in Chelsea from AS Monaco during the 2023 summer transfer window for a €45 million fee.
