Florian Plettenberg reports that Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson remains in Munich while the Bundesliga record champions still attempt to swing a deal to acquire him on loan. Plettenberg and others such as Kicker claim that Jackson’s potential move to Bayern Munich is “on hold, but not off“. It appeared as the transfer had fully collapsed yesterday.

The German footballing media claims that Chelsea are still amenable to completing the deal if a replacement for injured forward Liam Delap can be found. The RB Leipzig linked Conrad Harder is apparently a serious candidate for the London outfit. News of Delap’s injury yesterday led to Chelsea cancelling Jackson’s Bayern medical.

It does remain the case that Jackson’s loan to Bayern could still fall through on the basis of the structure of the arrangement. Chelsea are well known to want Bayern to agree to an automatic purchase option triggered by easily obtainable performance metrics such as appearances. Jackson currently maintains a €50m estimated market value.
