Paris FC look to have finally found their centre-forward, as 35-year-old Ciro Immobile should bolster the promoted side in the coming hours.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement is in place with Bologna, which he joined last summer from Besiktas, and Immobile is under contract there until the end of the season. Final details with the player remain, and the move should be wrapped up quickly before the window closes on Monday at 20:00, subject to a medical.
Paris have been actively seeking a number nine this winter, conscious of shortcomings in that area.
Even at 35, Immobile remains a standout in Europe and brings valuable experience. He won Euro 2021 with Italy, earning 57 caps and 17 goals. His club career spans Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and, above all, Lazio, where he still shares the Serie A single-season scoring record with 36 in 2019-20.
A thigh problem sidelined him for two months this season and he has featured only nine times. With Besiktas, he scored 15 goals in 30 league games in Türkiye.
His arrival is expected to close the club’s business this window, following Marshall Munetsi, Luca Koleosho and Diego Coppola. Paris FC are 14th in the table and, on paper, now better equipped to secure Ligue 1 survival, the priority for the Arnault family, the majority shareholder.
