Here is what went down on Sunday.

That's it from all of us at OneFootball today. Thanks for tuning in and we will see you next time! 👋

Sorry Manchester United fans, things just aren't looking bright.

Everyone should fear Haaland.

Seems the City players want to share the Player of the Match award.

And a moment to remember for Guardiola, no doubt!

Could the end be near for Amorim?

Etihad announcer explaining Manchester is blue! Quite funny.

What was your favourite bit of action from today? Let us know in the comments below.

FULL-TIME: Manchester City 3-0 Manchester United

And that's that at the Etihad in a derby of contrasting quality. United, while initially bright, failed once again to find the net, while City never took their foot off the gas after finding their form.

Plenty of questions will arrive after the match for Amorim, we're sure.

Here's a look at that second goal for Haaland.

That's a standing ovation for Haaland now as he comes off the pitch in the final minutes.

The Red Devils have only scored four times this Premier League season and conceded seven.

United are really trying to get at least one goal here. Mbuemo has a chance that hits the wrong side of his foot before Casemiro fails from close range minutes later.

The Chief Manchester United writer from the Manchester Evening News with a telling social post.

Shocking comparison this.

Looking at the stats here, Manchester United have had more fouls (eight) than shots on target (two).

He really loves the Eithad.

CHANCE!

Reijnders will hate that he's missed this effort, surging forward on the right side but instead pulls his effort wide of the mark. United will appreciate it, though.

A moment to remember for City's robot.

GOAL! 68' Manchester City 3-0 Manchester United

A mistake at the back from the visitors gifts the hosts the ball and Erling Haaland remains onside because he's in his own half.

He then receives a ball over the top, uses speed to be all alone and comfortably slots home a third.

CHANCE!

And finally, United have a response. Bryan Mbeumo calls Donnarumma into action and the Italian shows why City signed him.

It was United's first shot since the fourth minute of the game, if that tells you anything.

Pep Guardiola was seriously stunned on the sidelines after Haaland missed this chance.

My word and the robot striker has gone and almost bagged a second within the next few minutes. City are flying with confidence here.

GOAL! 52' Manchester City 2-0 Manchester United

Out of nowhere, the hosts find another. Jeremy Doku again delivers as a ball is slotted into the box where a surging Haaland scoops it up and over to double the lead.

Derby voodoo.

Something was surely said inside the dressing room from Amorim. It's all United off the hop, with Haaland, funnily enough, the one to block three attempts from the visitors.

OFF WE GO!

The players are back on the pitch at the Etihad for the second 45 minutes.

Second half coming up next. Who do you have winning this one? Let us know in the comments below.

A moment for Jeremy Doku, please. What a performance so far!

HALF-TIME - Manchester City 1-0 Manchester United

It's a slim lead at the break for the hosts following Phil Foden's header. Plenty of drama to come in the second half. We're certain it's not over until it's over here.

Closing moments before half-time show a handful of efforts from United, but Donnarumma comfortably saves everything. Ruben Amorim will certainly have to change his game plan in the second half.

There have been a few surging runs from City, laregly along the wings via Doku and Bernardo Silva as they hunt for a second goal.

Sesko is eager to get involved here. He makes a strong run but ultimately runs out of room with Donnarumma positioning himself at the right angle to deny any opportunity.

Important to note it's a very wet and rainy day over in Manchester. The ball is moving extremely fast and players are easily slipping during tackles. Have to be cautious.

Foden getting up there in the rankings we see.

Manchester United had a strong opening 10 minutes, but have been mentally set back following the goal. Bryan Mbeumo will need to get more involved here.

CHANCE!

It could and honestly should have been two for the hosts. Tijjani Reijnders, however, squares his shot perfectly at Bayindir.

Impressively, Foden has scored seven goals against Manchester United, only against Brighton and Hove Albion (8) does he have more.

Here's a look at the moment for the former academy star.

GOAL! 18' Manchester City 1-0 Manchester United

He's back in the starting XI, and of course, it's the homegrown kid who delivers the opener.

An unmarked Phil Foden heads home beyond an outstretched Altay Bayindir after plenty of work from Jeremy Doku in the box.

The action is pretty even here at the Etihad. Both teams are toying with the ball, trying to find one open lane to send either attacking line forward.

Here's a look at that Haaland moments in the opening minute.

Oh no, this could have been a massive mistake. Bayindir fails to keep hold of the ball and it almost drops to Haaland but the goalkeepers makes up for his sloppy moment.

CHANCE!

This is already much more entertaining than the Liverpool fixture. Benjamin Sesko now with an attempt but it's an easy catch for debutant Donnarumma.

Look who is here!

CHANCE!

Oh my what a start that would have been. Some 18 seconds into the game and Erling Haaland drags a shot wide of the right post.

KICK OFF!

All eyes on Manchester now as everything else takes a back seat.

About to get underway at the Etihad...

Looks like Statman Dave is a Manchester United fan. Will the Red Devils spoil the party again?

Here are some of the first images of Gianluigi Donnarumma, who makes his Manchester City debut in the big derby.

A look at some of the late winners from Slot's men this season.

FULL-TIME: Burnley 0-1 Liverpool

It could and arguably should have been a point 10-man Burnley deserved, but one lapse in judgement with seconds remaining allowed Liverpool to keep their perfect record from the penalty spot.

And it's a record breaking moment for Salah.

What a heartbreaking moment for the hosts.

GOAL! 90+4' Burnley 0-1 Liverpool

Hannibal outstretches his arm inside the penalty box and at the death Liverpool are awarded a penalty with literally 30 seconds to go in stoppage time.

Up steps Salah who makes no mistake to win it all for the visitors.

CHANCE!

Oh that might have been it. Jeremie Frimpong was left unmarked at the back post and took a touch before shooting right into goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka.

A reminder of the drama to come later.

RED CARD! 84' Burnley

Now we have some drama... It's a second yellow card for Lesley Ugochukwu who took down Wirtz. The hosts have about 10 minutes to hold on or will Liverpool snatch a win.

X is providing all the humour today.

We have 15 minutes to go here until the leaders drop points for the first time. Will it happen?

CHANCE!

Slot has turned to the bench looking for some extra creativity. Federico Chiesa comes on and has a glorious chance to head home the opener but sent it wide.

You can really tell Scott Parker's side did their homework here. It's been virtually a perfect game plan execution of how to stop the reigning champions.

Florian Wirtz is also looking for his first goal or assist in England's top flight, but falls continuously short.

CHANCE!

It's a fizzed effort from the Hungarian Szoboszlai but it's up and over the woodwork.

Liverpool looking a lot livlier now. Especially Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch. Can Burnley continue to park the bus?

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY!

It's a now a completely new full-back pairing for the Reds. Conor Bradley comes in alongside Robertson. Kerkez off, Mac Allister also now off and Szoboszlai moves to midfield.

A reminder of the action to come later, which we hope will bring a bit more drama.

One thing is that Slot will surely need Mohamed Salah in the second half.

HALF-TIME: Burnley 0-0 Liverpool

Substitute Robertson came close to finding the back of the net but it's still nothing to separate these two sides after the first 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, Kerkez has been hauled off for Andy Robertson. Too much pressure and a red card looming, it seems!

CHANCE! Hugo Ekitike draws a shot from a tight angle, a foot wide of the far right back post. What could have been.

The hosts finally have their first corner of the game after 37 minutes. That should tell you something about this game.

Scott Parker will be happy with this, though. The last time he faced Liverpool in the league, his side were down 4-0 by this point before going on to lose by nine.

Still zero shots on target from either side here after 30 minutes.

Something you don't see every day, and likely should more often. Milos Kerkez receives a yellow for diving.

Burnley fans are getting fairly vocal here. First, the boos toward Mac Allister, who didn't leave the pitch after receiving treatment. Then the general jeers and whistles.

He's fine. But it didn't look good.

Injury worry for Liverpool here. Alexis Mac Allister is down for a considerable length of time as the Argentina star received a rash tackle on his ankle.

CHANCE! Back at the other end, Ibrahima Konaté somehow sends a thumping header over the bar from point-blank range following a corner. He'll want that back.

CHANCE!

Big let off for Liverpool. A casual pass from Virgil Van Dijk gives possession to Burnley. They race forward and Jaidon Anthony's shot goes marginally over the bar.

A moment for the kit, please!

The hosts have barely had a touch of the ball, as it's all Liverpool. A lot of play coming down the left wing, but struggling to break down Burnley's 'park the bus style.'

KICK OFF!

And here we go at Turf Moor. What is your prediction? Let us know in the comments below.

The more you know!

Here's what Slot had to say about Isak's absence. Stay patient, Liverpool fans.

"As everybody knew, he didn’t have any team training at Newcastle, then went to the national team [and] only played there for 15 to 20 minutes.

“We think, with a week where we play three games in seven days, this is the best lead-up for him to be available against Atletico Madrid.

“So, where would he be? Second or third week of pre-season, I would say, so able to hopefully play during the week 45 minutes or more, but then two days later, as you know, we play Everton again.

“It’s going to be interesting for the performance staff, for us, to get the best out of him at the start but also to keep him available for the end.”

Some more stats and facts for you. Action kicks off in 30 minutes, buckle up!

Burnley, meanwhile, make two changes to the side who fell 3-2 at Old Trafford last time out. Jacob Bruun Larsen makes way for Loum Tchaouna and Hannibal is replaced by Josh Laurent.

As for team news, the biggest story is that there is still no Alexander Isak in red just yet. The Swede is not included in the matchday squad.

Slot has opted for the same XI that beat Arsenal last time out, notably keeping Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back.

Who remembers the last time a Scott Parker side faced Liverpool?

Tonight sees Arne Slot's Liverpool make the trip to face Burnley. Then the blockbuster showdown sees all eyes turn to Manchester for the blue and red derby.

Happy Sunday, OneFootballers! 👋

It's time for yet more Premier League action on this fine September day. And while the schedule is light, that doesn't mean it won't deliver drama.
