After an extended hiatus, City are back in Premier League action this Sunday when we face Chelsea.
Pep Guardiola’s side go to Stamford Bridge for a 16:30 (UK) kick-off in what will be our first top-flight encounter since 14 March.
That means we’ll have gone almost a full month without Premier League football, having played in the Champions League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup in the meantime.
But with eight games to go in the Premier League, it’s now down to business as the finish line looms.
City have 61 points from 30 games and sit second, while leaders Arsenal are on 70 from 31 outings.
Here we’ll look at the fixtures to come before the curtain falls on another league campaign.
Our run-in starts with a trip to Stamford Bridge this weekend against Champions League chasing Chelsea.
Liam Rosenior’s side are sixth with 48 points from 31 games but have struggled in recent weeks, losing to Everton, Newcastle and PSG in March.
It could be a big one. The league leaders visit the Etihad, with City currently nine points back with a game in hand.
How far could it go in determining where the silverware goes?
We drew 1-1 in north London earlier in the season, with Erling Haaland putting us up early on before Gabriel Martinelli’s last gasp reply snatched the two points.
Scott Parker’s Clarets appear to be an uphill battle to retain their Premier League status, sitting 19th with 20 points from 31 games.
That’s 10 points back from 17th, so they’ll need to pick up several wins in the final seven outings to have any chance.
It was a 5-1 win at the Etihad back in September, with Haaland netting twice, Matheus Nunes scoring and two own goals from Burnley defender Maxime Esteve.
This fixture was set for Sunday 26 April, but will now move as we’ve reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
There’s been a sense of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ for Oliver Glasner’s Palace this year following their historic FA Cup and Community Shield successes.
The manager has already confirmed he will be leaving at the end of the season, with the Conference League run the main focus between now and then.
They’re 14th in the league, while we won 3-0 at Selhurst Park in December thanks to a Haaland brace and Phil Foden finish.
With Palace in Europe and FA Cup to consider, we’re still awaiting confirmation from the Premier League on when this game will be played.
City’s first Monday Night Football since February 2024 sees us make a first ever visit to Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
So, unfamiliar territory all round as we go up against David Moyes’ side who are looking upwards at the possibility of European football next season.
They sit eighth at the time of writing with 46 points from 31 games, while we won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the Etihad in October thanks a Haaland brace.
Keith Andrews’ side are one of the surprise packages of the season and currently sit seventh, with 46 points from 31 games.
They’re very much in the mix for European football so will likely not be letting up when we meet, even as we approach the very end of the season.
Haaland scored the only goal in a hard-fought victory in west London earlier this season but Pep will be hoping for a more comfortable evening this time.
Andoni Iraola’s Cherries are one of the Premier League’s great entertainers and perhaps blow more hot and cold than anyone else.
They’re currently 13th but were as high as second in the league when we beat them 3-1 at the Etihad back in November.
Antoine Semenyo has since made the switch of course and will be looking to continue his fine start to life at City with an impressive showing against his old employers.
We know this game will be played on the penultimate weekend of the campaign, but the exact day and time remains to be seen.
We all remember the drama the last time this fixture was on the final day of the season, don’t we?
2-0 down in the second half and needing a victory to ensure we hold off Liverpool’s challenge, we scored three goals in quick succession to claim the 2021/22 Premier League title.
Whether or not we get that level of drama this time around remains to be seen, but we know the Villans will be fierce competition especially with Champions League qualification on the line.
We’ve unveiled our plans for bars and hospitality spaces in the North Stand at the Etihad Stadium.
As previously communicated, the new North Stand concourses will feature large TV screens, upgraded sound systems, and self-service kiosks designed to create an amazing matchday experience.
Seasonal Memberships for both Cross Bar and City Hall are now on sale for the 2026/27 season.
