Classique: Ousmane Dembélé puts PSG ahead of OM at halftime

PSG are on course to claim the Classique at home against OM. The Parisians lead on the scoreboard thanks to a brace from Ousmane Dembélé.

Right from the kickoff in this high-stakes clash, PSG applied relentless high pressing and constant intensity that stifled Marseille’s attempts to play out from the back. Doué and Barcola quickly became a threat, while OM were pinned deep in their own half. Sent down the left flank by Doué, Nuno Mendes surged forward and cut the ball back for Dembélé, who coolly slotted past De Lange with his right foot in the 12th minute. The ball found the back of the net.

A few minutes later, capitalizing on a failed intervention from Balerdi, Dembélé outmaneuvered Balerdi and Medina on the right side of the box, then unleashed a shot under the crossbar to secure his brace and double PSG’s lead.
