Claudio Ranieri previews Milan Coppa Italia tie: “We want to advance to the next round.” | OneFootball

Roma manager Claudio Ranieri gave an interview to Sport Mediaset ahead of Wednesday’s Coppa Italia tie with Milan at San Siro.

The veteran technician was asked about the match-up with the Rossoneri as well as his thoughts on Roma’s transfer business in January.

“I expect a tough match but we are ready to face a great team. Milan have a very strong attack and an overall quality team,” he said.

“Our transfer business? I give it a good grade. We couldn’t do too much because of Financial Fair Play,” he added, “but I have to compliment Ghisolfi because he found some good players who I gave the ok to and I’m convinced they will settle in our league soon.”

“I’m super convinced of Anass [Salah-Eddine] and Lucas [Gourna-Douath]. Nelsson is here on loan, he’s a Danish international, a good defender, determined. We have the opportunity to see him for these five months and make our evaluation.”

“For those who have doubts about our transfer window I say we worked with certain conditions that we had to respect and we did it. It wasn’t easy in a market like that to find strong replacements. I’m satisfied with what we did.”
