City were in four-midable form this weekend - with our quartet of teams all notching up victories across Saturday and Sunday.
It all started with a 3-2 successive for our Under-18s as Oliver Reiss’s team defeated Chelsea 3-2 in the Premier League Cup.
The result helped maintain our unbeaten start to the season, with six wins and one draw across seven matches for our Young Blues.
In a rollercoaster first half, Chizaram Ezenwata put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot before Teddie Lamb levelled from close range.
Floyd Samba then converted from the spot to nudge us in front before Ezenwata equalised on the stroke of half-time.
Both sides had chances to win in it the second half before Tyrone Samba smashed a stunning strike from the edge of the box to secure a superb win.
That triumph was followed up swiftly by another 3-2 success, this time by our women’s team who enjoyed a home triumph over Champions League winners Arsenal in a frenetic, exciting clash at the Joie Stadium.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw opened the scoring to give us a first half lead before Mariona Caldentey levelled for the Gunners moments after the second half began.
Kerstin Casparij put us back ahead just after the hour mark but former Blue Chloe Kelly brought the scores level once again with a deflected effort in the closing stages.
Just as it looked to be heading for a point apiece, summer signing Iman Beney popped up with the winner at the death much to the delight of players, staff and fans.
The result moved us up into second spot in the WSL, one point behind champions Chelsea who could only draw with our neighbours Manchester United this matchweek.
That was all she wrote on Saturday but what followed were two further victories on Sunday.
First, our EDS side produced a fine display to defeat Reading 3-0 in PL2 at the Joie Stadium.
Mahamadou Sangare gave City a deserved lead just before the 30-minute mark, his fourth goal in two games in all competitions.
The France youth international doubled our advantage after Reading failed to clear Divine Mukasa’s cross before Mukasa found the back of the net himself with a clinical finish.
Then to top off a wonderful weekend for the Blues, our men’s first team were also in winning form courtesy of a 1-0 success at Brentford.
Erling Haaland scored the winner early in the first half, shrugging off two Bees players to power home on nine minutes.
The result moved us up into fifth spot in the Premier League, three points behind leaders Arsenal, heading into the international break.
The win was Pep Guardiola’s 250 Premier League victory as manager.
The Catalan became the 16th boss to win 250 top-flight games with a single club and reached that total in only 349 games.
He hit the landmark 55 matches quicker than the next fastest manager to the tally, with Alex Ferguson needing 404 games to get to 250 in the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger is next, requiring 423 matches to reach the total.
Goalscorer Haaland, meanwhile, has now scored in nine consecutive appearances for club and country (6 in 2 for Norway, 10 in 7 for City) - the longest scoring run of his career.
Haaland has also now scored at 22 of the 23 stadiums he's played at in the Premier League.
The only stadium in the top-flight he's not scored at is Anfield.
This is the highest ratio of any player to appear at more than one ground in the competition’s history with 96%.
Haaland also has 12 goals in all competitions for City in 2025/26. He's also remarkably outscored nine other Premier League clubs so far this season.
What a weekend for the Blues - congratulations to all those involved.
