It's a really dangerous cycle - Arteta on Arsenal's constant injuries
Arsenal continued their perfect Champions League start with an imperious display against Club Brugge in Belgium, with Noni Madueke scoring a double and Gabriel Martinelli putting the icing on the cake on a near-perfect night.
It’s six wins from six in the competition for Mikel Arteta’s side, leaving them top of the league phase table having conceded only a single goal so far.
Madueke scored a screamer from range, riffling the back of the net at the 25-minute mark to give the Gunners a deserved lead. The former Chelsea man scored a second immediately after the restart, nodding in from almost under the crossbar after a beautiful cross by Martin Zubimendi.
Gabriel Martinelli added a third to Arsenal’s cushion 10 minutes later, bending a superb strike past van den Heuvel and putting Arteta’s men in cruise control.
David Raya was tested multiple times but Club Brugge failed to crack the Gunners in their first game under new boss Ivan Leko.
