As many as four players have already been ruled out of the Club World Cup semi-finals because of suspension, with plenty more at risk.
At the Club World Cup, players receive a one-game ban after picking up two bookings.
Jobe Bellingham has already fallen victim to the rule, earning a suspension for Borussia Dortmund’s quarter-final showdown with Real Madrid after picking up his second booking of the tournament in the round of 16 win over Monterrey.
Looking ahead to the first semi-final between Fluminense and Chelsea, and Juan Freytas, Matheus Martinelli, Liam Delap and Levi Colwill will all have to watch from the sidelines after being booked in their respective quarter-final ties.

A red card at any stage of the Club World Cup will result in a one-match ban.
Paris Saint-Germain: Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves, Marquinhos.
Bayern Munich: Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Konrad Laimer, Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala.
