Brentford captain Nathan Collins has said his side are a ‘menace’ for any team in the Premier League on home soil.
The Bees came from behind to beat Newcastle in West London on Sunday, securing their fourth win in six Premier League home games this season.
Harvey Barnes had fired the visitors in front, but Brentford equalised from a similar avenue as Michael Kayode’s long throw led to Kevin Schade’s leveller.
The game turned in Brentford’s favour when Dan Burn was sent off for a rash challenge inside the area, with Igor Thiago keeping his cool to score from the spot. Thiago’s second – and eighth of the Premier League season – sealed the points.
Keith Andrews’ side have already beaten Aston Villa, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle on home soil this season. Collins praised his side’s home form and believes Brentford are capable of troubling any side at the Gtech Community Stadium.
“Unbelievable. We come at home and we always have faith. Here, we are a bit of a menace of a team,” Collins said speaking to Sky Sports.
“I didn’t think we were bad and probably didn’t create enough but we knew we had to ramp it up again and we did.
“It is so awkward against 10 men and you think you should dominate. You have to be composed and get the third goal and we did.
“We just keep winning games and if he keeps scoring goals, we can keep going higher.”
