Widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in world football, Nico Paz has taken Serie A by storm since arriving from Real Madrid.

Indeed, the 21-year-old joined Como in the summer of 2024 for a reported €6 million fee.

However, aware of the youngster’s potential, Los Merengues have retained a buy-back clause.

Therefore, they can bring Paz back to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer for only €10 million.

Furthermore, they seem willing to take up that option after Paz’s remarkable spell in Serie A.

Paz tallied six goals and nine assists in 35 appearances in his maiden season at Como.

Reluctant to rest on his laurels, he has continued to impress this term, netting nine goals and adding six assists in 28 league games.

Como President Optimistic About Keeping Inter Milan Target Nico Paz

Paz has been the cornerstone of Como’s success under Cesc Fabregas.

As such, the Lariani are desperate to keep him at the club next season, especially now that they’re on the verge of securing European qualification.

However, the final decision is up to Real Madrid.

“The decision rests solely with Real Madrid,” Suwarso stated. “There’s nothing we can do except wait and act accordingly.

“We’ll be happy for him regardless and will start working to find a replacement. For now, he’s very happy here, in this great family.”

Meanwhile, Inter have identified Paz as a potential marquee signing ahead of the summer transfer window.

Still, they’ll have to wait for Los Blancos’ decision before making any concrete move.

Either way, Paz won’t come cheap, with Como likely to ask for north of €30 million for their standout star.
