Como reach €25m agreement to sign Martin Baturina | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano reports that Serie A side Como have reached a total agreement to sign Croatian talent Martin Baturina from Dinamo Zagreb for a reported €25m including bonuses.

The 22-year-old has signed a contract until 2030 and will complete his medical. Baturina – who has 12 caps for Croatia – scored four goals and provided 10 assists in 33 league games for Dinamo Zagreb last season as the record Croatian champions missed out on the league title after finishing level with Rijeka.

The Croat also had interest from Premier League duo Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest but opted for Como who finished last season in 10th. Backed by a rich Indonesian owner, Como are an interesting project and have managed to retain Cesc Fabregas as their head coach despite interest from the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen – prior to appointing Erik ten Hag – and RB Leipzig showing concrete interest in the Spaniard.

Como have already signed Alex Valle and Ignace Van der Brempt for a combined €11m following successful loan spells.
