Confirmed: Barcelona star ruled out of Atlético clash with injury | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have confirmed that a member of the club’s defensive ranks will not be available to feature in their upcoming showdown with Atlético Madrid.

The player in question? Héctor Fort.

Barcelona are of course currently in the midst of final preparations for their final outing before the Christmas break.

A meeting with the aforementioned Atlético Madrid lies in wait, in a fixture which will pit La Liga’s two leading sides against one another in Catalunya’s capital.

The group of players set to be depended upon by Barcelona boss Hansi Flick to get the job done this evening was unveiled online a short time ago.

And, as alluded to above, it included one noteworthy absentee.

As per a statement across the Blaugrana’s website and social media platforms, youngster Héctor Fort has been ruled out of the matchup through injury:

‘First team player H. Fort has a left hamstring strain and is out for today’s game.’
