Confirmed Man United XI vs. Bournemouth: Carrick names unchanged team | OneFootball

Manchester United are back in action this evening when they face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, with Michael Carrick and his players looking to build on last weekend’s victory over Aston Villa.

Here’s the confirmed United XI ahead of the contest.

Defence

Senne Lammens starts in goal.

Carrick has selected a back four of Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw in the full-back areas, with Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro forming the central defensive pairing.

Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez remain injured but Tyler Fredricson has returned to the matchday squad. Ayden Heaven and Tyrell Malacia both start on the bench.

Noussair Mazraoui is not present due to illness.

Midfield

Carrick has opted for his tried and tested midfield trio of Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes.

Casemiro and Mainoo form the pivot, while Fernandes is deployed in his preferred playmaking role.

Mason Mount, Tyler Fletcher and Manuel Ugarte feature on the bench and will provide cover in the middle of the park.

Attack

If Carrick were to make changes to the team, it would be in attack, but he has gone for the attacking three that started against Villa.

Matheus Cunha occupies the left flank, Amad the right and Bryan Mbeumo through the middle.

Benjamin Sesko has to be content with a place on the bench once more despite his strike against Villa and being in terrific goalscoring form.

Joshua Zirkzee joins the Slovenian on the bench.
