Real Madrid have generated a record €1.221 billion in revenue during the last financial year, excluding player transfer income, according to figures presented at the club’s board meeting on Tuesday.
The Merengues said the results underline its financial strength and reinforce its position as a global leader in the sports industry.
Annual revenue increased by 3.1% compared to the previous season, taking Real Madrid beyond the €1.2 billion mark for the first time.
According to the club, no sports organisation has previously exceeded that figure in annual revenue.

The increase was driven primarily by business activities managed directly by the club. Stadium revenue rose by 11%, while marketing income increased by 6% following the renewal of major sponsorship agreements and the addition of new commercial partners.
Real Madrid stated that overall revenue has grown by 61% over the past seven years.
During the same period, income generated by the Santiago Bernabeu has doubled.
As a result, the club reported earnings before amortisation of €287.4 million, representing an 18^% increase compared to the previous financial year.
Net profit after tax reached €26.3 million, extending Real Madrid’s run of profitable financial years to 26 consecutive seasons.
The Real Madrid board also confirmed that the redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabeu has now reached a total investment of €1.407 billion.

Meanwhile, spending on the first-team squad has increased by €166 million over the past seven years, a rise of 37%.
During the most recent season alone, Real Madrid invested €161 million in new signings.
The club reported net assets of €624 million, cash reserves of €83 million and net debt of just €9 million, excluding debt related to the stadium redevelopment.
In addition, Real Madrid have €475 million in unused credit facilities available.
The figures reflect Real Madrid’s long-term financial and sporting strategy, which continues to provide the flexibility to strengthen the squad while remaining within their self-imposed financial limits.
That approach has already enabled Los Blancos to complete four new signings this summer, with Yan Diomande expected to become the latest addition in the coming days.
