He'll be in the squad; the pain he was feeling has lessened, which is good news for tomorrow.Gayà being set to reach 400 official appearancesPlaying 400 matches for Valencia CF is an incredible feat, only achieved by a select few; those who have shown enormous commitment and incredible ability. The likes of Fernando, Cañizares, Angulo, Albelda… José reaching that number of matches is incredible.Real Oviedo needing to winIt’s a crucial game for everyone. The smallest details make all the difference in the table. Every game is very demanding. At home, Oviedo are very difficult opponents, as they've shown. Looking at the standings is one thing, but watching the matches themselves is another. You can see they're a team that deserve more points. They're going to be a demanding side to play. They're a competitive team, they provide tremendous pressure in your half, they'll push up to challenge you and they don't mind being short in their back line because they know they have to take risks. That makes them a very demanding team to play. We've prepared for the match in great detail; we know how demanding it will be. They managed to beat us at Mestalla, and we're aware of that. We need to be ready to compete at our best.Guido Rodríguez
I never focus on the future, but rather on the present. I focus on helping the players reach their full potential. The team benefit from that. That's the positive aspect. We're focused on that. He's a player with experience in LaLiga, he's helping us compete -like Pepelu does when he plays-, and it's very positive that everyone is performing at their best.Renzo Saravia
He's getting better every week. The ‘preseason’ he's had to do with us has been hurried; there's no time to waste an we had to get him ready as quickly as possible. The team needs him. In a normal preseason you play friendly matches to gain match fitness, and now you don't have that opportunity with new arrivals. That makes training even more crucial. He's getting closer and closer to reaching the fitness level required to help the team.Targeting EuropeWhat no one's talking about is the fact that we're facing the bottom side in LaLiga. It's going to be a tough match; we need to be incredibly focused, absolutely switched on, and adapt quickly to the game. They're going to play a very aggressive way, and that's all I'm going to talk about. Everything else is irrelevant. Our focus is on tomorrow's match. The aim for the end of the seasonNo one can doubt the ambition of this squad; it's at its peak level. We’re all focused on tomorrow. The future is solely about the match against Real Oviedo; thinking about anything else would be a distraction. We must show this in every game. We are all very aware of what we represent and who we are. We have to face each match head-on. They outplayed us at Mestalla, and that should serve as a message of our ambition to beat them tomorrow. We want to build on that momentum, bring joy to our fans, and achieve a victory. Our ambition is at its highest.Suffering from refereeing decisionsOn the one hand, this kind of analysis is comforting, seeing that mistakes are acknowledged. They're not excuses. The last two matches were victories for us, not defeats. But the situations against CA Osasuna and Deportivo Alavés are detrimental. They affect the morale of the players and the fans. The referee's decisions weren't correct. Mistakes are part of the game. It's reassuring, and it speaks to the team's maturity, their ability to find good moments of play and a strong competitive edge, even in adversity.Dimitrievski and Cömert
I don't talk about contract renewals. That's not my job. My job is to ensure Dimitrievski maintains his current level of form, which is excellent, and Cömert as well. That's my responsibility. That's my focus. It's not my role to talk about renewals. But getting the best out of them is important. Whenever I'm asked, I give my opinion and my assessment. Even knowing that my word isn't the final word, as a coach, I have my opinion. My goal is for all the players to be at their best. The final stretch of the season
We have to face each match head-on and do our best; the results will put us where we deserve to be. This season is 38 matchdays, and we're focused on each stage of the campaign. We have to go to Oviedo with maximum ambition, high standards, and be ready to play at our best.
‘Fear’ of talking about EuropeThere's no fear, there's only reality: That of winning matches. Our ambition must be at its peak to win every game. We must give our absolute best on the pitch. The worst feeling isn't defeat itself, it's suffering a defeat because we didn't do things right. That mentality is crucial because it wins you games. Valencia CF must give our all in every match. We're at a club with the highest standards, and we demand of ourselves that we give our absolute best in every game.Playing during FallasWe don't give any importance to that. We live our lives apart from the celebrations. Our priority is our job; football is our life. Yesterday we had an event, in the Mascletà, which was very moving.
The first game against OviedoWe want to have a better second half of the season than the first. We've analysed our rivals and the strengths we all have. We're going to have to work very hard. The fact that they beat us before means we can't afford to relax at all.The table
What will bring you closest to getting points, regardless of your position in the standings, is focusing on your performance on the pitch. The team need to keep improving, and that will bring us closer to our goals.Ron Gourlay mentioning conversations with Dimitrievski and Thierry’s agentsI don't negotiate, I don't communicate with agents, or with prospective players. I focus on ensuring that each player, whoever they may be, performs at their best.Luis Rioja
We always talk a lot about the game, about situations that arise, about how to improve moves. It's a situation we discuss and resolve. When things don't go our way and we're losing due to an unfair situation, and the game isn't going the way we want, we all, as human beings, feel frustrated. We have to control those emotions and calm ourselves down, and luckily we were able to turn around a difficult situation.
