Corberán updates fitness of Foulquier, Tárrega and Copete for Betis

Carlos Corberán has confirmed that José Copete, Dimitri Foulquier and César Tárrega, who missed the last match, trained normally and will be in the squad to face Betis this weekend, according to Superdeporte.

It has been a bruising few weeks for Valencia, with Julen Agirrezabala and Tárrega injured and others carrying knocks. Copete even played through pain last weekend after an injection to ensure defensive cover.

The coach now has a full complement of centre-backs, moving from two options to four. Tárrega and Copete are the regular starters, while Eray Cömert and Unai Núñez are waiting for their chance.

One option is to leave out Foulquier, select three of the four centre-backs and use Luis Rioja as a right wing-back.

With the squad healthier as the days have passed, Corberán has genuine selection choices after a week when injuries largely picked the team.
