Corinthians aim to extend away winning run against Vitória

On the afternoon of this Saturday, October 25, at 4 PM (Brasília time), Corinthians will take the field to face Vitória at Barradão, in a match valid for the 30th round of the Brazilian Championship. Timão comes to the confrontation seeking to extend a positive unbeaten streak as the home team against the Bahia team.

The last defeat of Corinthians to Vitória away from home occurred on May 22, 2016, in that year's Brasileirão. Since then, the teams have faced each other four times, three at Barradão and one at Arena Fonte Nova, with the Paulista Alvinegro winning twice and drawing twice.

The last duel between the clubs at Barradão took place on November 9, 2024, for the 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship. On that occasion, the Paulista Alvinegro came from behind to win with goals from Yuri Alberto and Memphis Depay, emerging victorious by 2 x 1.

The record at the home of the red-black team is balanced. At Barradão, Corinthians and Vitória have faced each other 15 times, with four wins for each side and seven draws, in addition to 17 goals for Corinthians against 20 for the opposing team.

Corinthians has not lost to the opponent since August 19, 2017, when they were defeated at Neo Química Arena in the Brasileirão. Since then, there have been seven clashes between the clubs, with three Alvinegro victories and four draws.

Now, Timão seeks an away victory to get closer to the teams occupying the top part of the Brazilian Championship table. Currently, Corinthians is in 11th place in the standings, with 36 points in 29 rounds. There have been nine wins, nine draws, and 11 losses so far.
