Corinthians arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night with a 24-man squad for Wednesday’s meeting with Fluminense at the Maracanã, the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, kicking off at 21:30.
According to Meu Timao, the headline inclusion is Jesse Lingard, now cleared after resolving his Brazilian work visa and available for the first time. There is an expectation he may start, partnering Yuri Alberto in attack.
Goalkeeper Felipe Longo also returns after about 40 days out, having recovered from an elbow ligament issue. He is an option to start in Rio, with Hugo Souza on Brazil duty and unable to return in time.
Corinthians travel without Kaio César, Memphis Depay and Gui Negão, all injured, and the suspended midfielder Raniele. André Carrillo is also away on international duty in the FIFA window, while left-back Hugo Farias remains in recovery.
The Parque São Jorge side spent nine days training during the international break. They sit 11th in the table on 10 points, nine behind leaders Palmeiras.
