Botafogo forward Ellen, on loan from Corinthians, will not feature against her parent club on Friday in the fifth round of the Brasileirão Feminino. Kick-off is at 19:00 at Estádio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro.

According to Meu Timao, her loan contains a clause preventing her from facing Corinthians, and Botafogo would need to pay a fee between R$ 400,000 and R$ 500,000 to field her.

The striker joined Botafogo earlier this month and is set to remain there until the end of the 2026 season, which aligns with the expiry of her Corinthians contract.

She has made two appearances for Botafogo so far, both in the league.

A Corinthians academy graduate, Ellen became the first homegrown player to debut for the senior side in 2022, though her progress has been hindered by injuries, including at least five knee surgeries.

Since arriving at Corinthians in 2020, she has played 12 senior matches, all as a substitute, scoring three goals. In youth football she added three goals in 20 games.

Ellen is the second member of the Corinthians women’s squad to depart on loan this season, joining midfielder Nicole Marussi, who is at Juventude until December.
