Corinthians close in on Flamengo midfielder loan deal

This Monday (9), Corinthians moved closer to signing midfielder Allan, 28, on loan until the end of the 2026 season from Flamengo. The information was initially released by ge.globo and confirmed by Central do Timão. The management of both clubs met in the last few hours and the Rio de Janeiro club agreed to loan the player for a year at no cost, provided that the Alvinegro fully covers the player's salary.

According to Meu Timão, Allan's loan is subject to a purchase option, but without a fixed value in the contract. The expectation is that the player will arrive in São Paulo this Tuesday (10) to undergo medical exams and, if approved, he will sign a contract with Corinthians. The two clubs resumed talks about the player last week.

It is worth remembering that coach Dorival Júnior has been requesting the arrival of midfield players in interviews. At the turn of the year, Alvinegro saw Maycon not renew his loan contract and transfer to Atlético-MG. Corinthians had negotiations for midfielder Alisson from São Paulo, who had a positive history with the Corinthians coach in 2023, but talks did not progress due to financial issues.

Allan, who was developed in Internacional's youth system, has experience in foreign clubs, having played in Finland, Belgium, Germany, Cyprus, and England. In 2019, he returned to Brazil to play for Fluminense, then managed by Fernando Diniz. Later, in 2020, he was acquired by Atlético-MG, where he stayed until 2022, winning the Campeonato Mineiro, Copa do Brasil, and Campeonato Brasileiro.

Since 2023, he has been with Flamengo, but in recent months, he lost his place in Filipe Luís's team and was consequently placed on the negotiable list. In 2026, he played only once for the Rubro-Negro. If signed, he is expected to compete for the position with Raniele as the first midfielder.

So far, Corinthians has already announced the signings of defender Gabriel Paulista, right-back Pedro Milans, midfielder Matheus Pereira, and forward Kaio César. Additionally, Alvinegro has a pre-agreement with João Ricardo and is close to renewing the contract of left-back Fabrizio Angileri and signing Moroccan midfielder Zacaria Labyad.
