Corinthians have confirmed a World Cup break friendly against Cascavel on Sunday 12 July at 16:00, at Olímpico Regional in Cascavel.
According to Globo.com, Cascavel had already announced the match, with the kick-off time now confirmed. The game will prepare Corinthians for the post‑World Cup restart, and Cascavel are in the second phase of Serie D.
The friendly is organised by a group of businesspeople. Both clubs will receive a fixed fee, with the remaining income going to the organisers.
Tickets are on sale with a solidarity entry, half price with a donation of one kilogram of non‑perishable food at the stadium. Children up to two years go free. Prices: sectors D and B R$160 full or R$80 reduced, sector C R$280 or R$120, sector A R$520 or R$260.
After 25 days off, Corinthians returned to CT Joaquim Grava on Thursday. Fernando Diniz’s side last played on 30 May, winning 3-1 at Grêmio in Porto Alegre in the Brasileiro.
There are 17 days until the Cascavel friendly, then Corinthians resume official action on 23 July against Remo at Neo Química Arena in the Brasileiro.
Cascavel are expected to field a mixed side, as on Sunday they visit Marcílio Dias at 16:00 for the second leg of Serie D’s second phase. The first leg ended 2-2, the winner advances, a draw means penalties.
The match will mark Corinthians’ return to Cascavel after two years. They visited in 2024 for a friendly against Londrina during a break after the Campeonato Paulista.
