Corinthians celebrate the 14th anniversary of their maiden Copa Libertadores crown, won unbeaten in 2012 under Tite.

According to Meu Timao, the club are revisiting the campaign that delivered South America's leading club prize.

Placed in Group 6 with Deportivo Táchira, Nacional and Cruz Azul, they opened on 15 February with a 1-1 draw in Venezuela, Ralf equalising in stoppage time. Wins over Nacional, 2-0 at the Pacaembu, and Cruz Azul, 1-0 at home after a goalless trip to Mexico, preceded a 3-1 success at Nacional and a 6-0 rout of Deportivo Táchira. Corinthians topped the section with four wins, two draws and 14 points.

Emelec were seen off in the last 16, a 0-0 in Ecuador followed by a 3-0 victory in São Paulo sealed by Fábio Santos, Paulinho and Alex.

Vasco drew 0-0 at São Januário in heavy rain, then Cássio's outstanding save from Diego Souza set up Paulinho's header for a 1-0 second-leg win.

Holders Santos, led by Neymar, lost 1-0 at Vila Belmiro to an Emerson Sheik strike. The return ended 1-1, Neymar scoring before Danilo levelled, sending Corinthians to a first Libertadores final.

Boca Juniors drew 1-1 at the Bombonera, Roncaglia scoring before substitute Romarinho lifted a late equaliser from an Emerson Sheik pass. On 4 July 2012, almost 38,000 filled the Pacaembu as Emerson Sheik hit both goals in a 2-0 win that completed an unbeaten first title.
