Corinthians name Osmar Stabile and Marcelo Paz for Thursday’s Libertadores group-stage draw | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz will represent Corinthians at the 2026 Conmebol Libertadores group-stage draw, scheduled for 20:00 Brasília time on Thursday at the confederation’s headquarters in Paraguay.

The four pots for the draw are set by the confederation ranking, and each group will contain one team from each pot.

There is one restriction. Clubs from the same country can share a group only if one reached the stage via the qualifiers. With both Brazilian sides from the preliminaries eliminated, there will be no domestic meetings before the knockouts.

Corinthians are aiming to win the continent’s premier competition for the second time in their history. They exited early last year in the third phase, losing to Barcelona de Guayaquil of Ecuador.

Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Fluminense, Mirassol and Palmeiras are the other Brazilian representatives. In 2026 the Libertadores will feature 32 clubs.

Soon after the draw, Corinthians face Chapecoense at 21:30 Brasília time at Arena Condá in Chapecó in the seventh round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
