Corinthians have paid overdue wages to the first team and coaching staff on Thursday, but image rights remain outstanding. The salaries had been late since the fifth working day of June.

Meu Timão reports that payments registered on employment contracts have been regularised, while image rights that fell due on 20 June have not yet been settled.

It is the second consecutive month the club have delayed remuneration for the senior squad. On the previous occasion, the arrears were cleared within a few days, unlike the longer wait now.

Other staff employed under CLT terms received their May salaries as normal.

Corinthians carry a gross debt of around R$ 2.7 billion and face serious financial strain. The club posted a deficit of R$ 168 million across the first four months of the year, 130% above the forecast in the budget approved at the end of 2025.

The club also remain under a Fifa transfer ban owing to an unpaid sum to the Philadelphia Union for the 2024 signing of midfielder José Martínez. The amount due is about US$ 1.5 million, roughly R$ 7.78 million at current rates.
