Corinthians players pose for photos with the Women's Libertadores trophy

Corinthians became six-time champions of the Conmebol Libertadores Feminina (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024) last Saturday, October 18, by defeating Deportivo Cali from Colombia 6-5 on penalties after a goalless draw in regular time.

After winning the international tournament, members of the staff, technical team, and athletes of the Brabas did a photo shoot with the trophy and medals. There were also individual and pair photos. In the group stage, the Alvinegro qualified at the top of Group A with seven points, having defeated Always Ready-BOL (11-0) and Santa Fé-COL (1-0), along with a draw in the debut against Independiente Del Valle-EQU (1-1).

In the quarterfinals, Corinthians dispatched Boca Juniors (Argentina) 4-0 with a hat-trick from number 10 Gabi Zanotti. In the semifinals, after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes, the Brabas eliminated Ferroviária on penalties, with goalkeeper Nicole being decisive.

The Brabas' victory also secured the team 2 million dollars (R$ 11 million at the current exchange rate), as well as a spot in the semifinals of the Copa das Campeãs, considered a Club World Cup for the sport. There, the Brabas will face Gotham FC from the United States, where Gabi Portilho, a former Corinthians player, currently plays.

After the title, the Brabas received a week off and will return to training next week, aiming for the resumption of the Campeonato Paulista. On the upcoming November 1st, Saturday, the Alvinegro will host São Paulo at the Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha, for the 11th round of the first phase of the Paulistão Feminino.

In 2025, the Brabas have already won the Campeonato Brasileiro (for the seventh time) and the Libertadores. In the Copa do Brasil, they reached the quarterfinals after losing to São Paulo, and finally, in the Supercopa Feminina – at the beginning of the year – they were runners-up to the same opponent after a penalty shootout loss.
