Corinthians president Osmar Stabile is expected to visit CT Joaquim Grava this week to address the squad about June’s delayed image-rights payments.

According to Globo.com, the board has not set a date to clear the arrears but wants to prevent growing unrest within the group.

Football director Marcelo Paz has already met players in recent weeks to discuss the issue.

Goalkeeper Hugo Souza voiced his dissatisfaction after the friendly against Cascavel on Sunday, stressing professionalism and the need to give their best every day while leaving resolutions to club officials. He said players know the facts, are affected when pay is late, and he is confident the board is working to resolve it.

He added the situation is not good for the players or the club, and that the team must perform regardless while the board handles that fight.

Wages recorded on players’ contracts are up to date, with the delay limited to image-rights payments that are due on the 20th of each month.

In the planned meeting, Stabile is expected to explain the reasons for the delay and outline the next steps to regularise the outstanding amounts with the squad.
