Corinthians rack up impressive stats in recent Campeonato Paulista run

On the night of last Sunday (25), Corinthians went to the Agnelo Bendito Castellano Stadium to face Velo Clube, in a match valid for the fifth round of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista, and won by a score of 1-0. The Corinthians goal was scored by striker Yuri Alberto, who came on in the second half, already in the final moments of the match, after Marcelo Carné fumbled a tight cross from midfielder Vitinho.

The match highlighted Corinthians’ impressive recent numbers in the Campeonato Paulista. In the last 23 matches in the state championship, the Alvinegro was defeated only twice, in addition to 14 wins and seven draws. Furthermore, they have scored 34 goals and conceded 22. In this period, both of Corinthians’ defeats happened away from home, against São Paulo and Red Bull Bragantino, by 3-1 and 3-0, respectively. The first occurred in the 2025 edition of the Paulistão, in which the Alvinegro were champions, beating Palmeiras in the final and losing only once throughout the competition. The other, in turn, happened in the 2026 edition. It’s worth noting that the Parque São Jorge club is the tournament’s biggest champion with 31 titles.

Additionally, according to the same profile, Corinthians have not lost their last 12 matches in the Campeonato Paulista against teams that are not in Serie A of the Brazilian Championship.
