Corinthians reach 40 youth departures after Augusto Melo’s removal

Corinthians recorded in the CBF’s Daily Information Bulletin (BID) this Monday, September 15, the departure of yet another player from the club’s youth academy. This time it’s midfielder Kevin Moura, 18 years old, who was signed during Augusto Melo’s administration – from January 2024 to May 2025.

During the former president’s term, 87 players were signed – counting both the U-17 and U-20 categories. At that time, the department was led by Claudinei Alves. In addition to him, Chicão and Batata served as transition coordinators and coach, respectively. Valmir Costa was briefly assistant director, but later became the club’s secretary-general.

With the registration of Kevin Moura’s contract termination, Corinthians has now reached 40 dismissals in the youth categories since Osmar Stabile took over as president, either on an interim or permanent basis – starting August 9. After Melo left the presidency, Carlos Alberto Auricchio, known as Nenê do Posto, was appointed to replace Claudinei.

The Corinthians youth setup also includes Alex Brasil as executive (hired in the second half of last year, still under Augusto Melo’s management) and Claudinei Muza (general manager). Among the 40 departures are midfielders Kauê de Deus and Thomás Agustín, both born in 2004, who were no longer being used in the main squad as they had aged out of the youth categories.

Forward Kauê Furquim, just 16 years old, left Corinthians after Bahia, which is part of the City Group, paid his release clause to take the player to the Northeast. The athlete was already training with the professional squad led by coach Dorival Júnior.

6) U-20: Matheus Roger, Fernando Ojeda, Franco Delgado, Daniel Trajano, Jesse Costa, Vinícius César, Rafael Venâncio, Júlio César, Enzo Marçuli, Pedro Lopes, Miguel Jordão, Kallil Soares, and Andrey Bassani

7) Aged out (2004): Kauã de Deus and Thomas Agustín
