Corinthians ready to face Novorizontino in Paulistão semi-finals

On Friday afternoon (27th), Corinthians held their final training session at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, wrapping up preparations for the match against Portuguesa, valid for the quarterfinals of the Campeonato Paulista. The match will take place this Saturday (28th), at 8:30 PM (Brasília time), at Jorjão.

The activity began indoors, with the athletes working out in the gym and watching videos about Sunday’s opponent. On the pitch, the coaching staff conducted a tactical training session focused on game situations, as well as set-piece exercises, both offensive and defensive.

After the session, midfielder Breno Bidon gave an interview and shared details about the team’s desire to reach yet another Paulistão final: “We always talk about it, especially after we managed to win three titles. Two last year and now one at the start of this year. We always want more. We know how good it feels to win and to lift trophies. We talk about it in the locker room. We are very prepared to go to the final.”

Without Kaio César, Matheus Pereira, and Yuri Alberto, the likely Corinthians lineup chosen by coach Dorival Jr should be: Hugo Souza; Matheuzinho, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique, Matheus Bidu; Raniele, André, Breno Bidon, and Garro; Vitinho and Memphis Depay.
