Corinthians sack football manager Renan Bloise

Corinthians have sacked football manager and scout Renan Bloise, a decision ordered by president Osmar Stabile on Wednesday.

Time do Povo first reported the move. Bloise was originally brought in by former executive Fabinho Soldado during Augusto Melo’s tenure.

He was initially responsible only for market analysis. After Marcelo Paz arrived, he asked Bloise to also serve as football manager, after considering appointing a former player to the post.

Since the start of the year, figures within the club’s politics had pushed for his exit due to his ties to Fabinho. Stabile initially backed his stay.

Bloise also acted as translator for Dutch forward Memphis Depay. Corinthians are assessing the appointment of a new football manager, solely for that post.
