Corinthians share NFL match insights, Arena boss celebrates success

The Corinthians stadium once again hosted the major event that is the National Football League (NFL) game. With another success, the club revealed the behind-the-scenes of the transformation of Neo Química Arena, which was showcased to the world for the second consecutive year.

“One thing is being able to bring an event of this scale here, and another is being able to keep it going. Continuity is proof that the first one worked, that it was a successful formula. The people who were here in the first year experienced the stadium with a totally different atmosphere, with many adaptations made for this event. The NFL makes very large investments in this type of event, considering that Brazil is their third largest market in the world. They have shown us very special care,” said Marcio de Luna, the stadium manager, to Corinthians TV.

This year, just like in 2024, the stadium hosted a halftime show, headlined by Colombian singer Karol G. According to the manager, this demonstrates the importance of the game in Brazil in relation to the international scene.

“Another proof of this is the fact that there was a halftime show, an event that doesn’t happen at all international games, since it’s a Super Bowl trademark. But here in Brazil, we can say that the Arena is very well located in the city of São Paulo. Because, despite some controversy about this, it’s a stadium that has two subway exits almost at its doorstep, which doesn’t happen at other stadiums in São Paulo, or even in the world,” commented the manager.

“Another thing that helps us a lot is that the NFL has a series of activities similar to FanFest, which is done at FIFA games. In the external parking lots, we have space for this, which makes things much easier”, he added.

Due to the buzz, it is likely that the NFL will try to host another game in Brazil in 2025, but negotiations have not started at this point in the year. In addition, other cities may host the event, such as Rio de Janeiro, which has large stadiums like Maracanã and Nilton Santos.
