Corinthians’ standing in the Paulistão after four rounds of the tournament

On the night of Thursday (22), at Vila Belmiro, Corinthians visited Santos in a classic match valid for the fourth round of the first phase of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista, and ended up with a 1-1 draw. The goal for the Alvinegro was scored by striker Yuri Alberto at the beginning of the first half, after he missed a penalty kick.

The draw in the classic left the Corinthians team in seventh place in the state championship – only the top eight advance to the knockout stage – with five points (one win, two draws, and one loss – five goals scored and five conceded). In eighth to tenth place, Santos, Guarani, and Botafogo-SP, respectively, have the same number of points, trailing due to the number of goals scored and goal difference.

Red Bull Bragantino leads the tournament with 10 points, followed by Novorizontino and Palmeiras, both with nine points, with the team from the countryside ahead on goal difference. In fourth and fifth place are São Bernardo and Capivariano, both with seven points. Portuguesa is in sixth place with six points earned so far.

In 11th to 16th place are: Primavera (four points), Mirassol (four points), Velo Clube (four points), Noroeste (three points), and Ponte Preta (zero points). Until the end of the first phase, the Alvinegro will still face Velo Clube (A), Capivariano (H), Palmeiras (H), and São Bernardo FC (A).

After the draw with Santos in Baixada Santista, Corinthians remains focused on the Campeonato Paulista. That’s because, next Sunday (25), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), the Alvinegro team visits Velo Clube at Estádio Benito A. Castellano for the fifth round of the first phase of the state championship.
