Corinthians striker shines in Turkey, among top ten most valuable

A product of Corinthians, the forward Felipe Augusto, 21, is gaining prominence in European football. Currently, he ranks as the ninth most valuable player in the Turkish league, according to a survey by the CIES Football Observatory.

In the ranking released by the entity, the Brazilian is valued at 21.9 million euros, about R$ 135 million at the current exchange rate. Playing for Trabzonspor, third in the national championship, the forward has been one of the main names in the competition.

Felipe's market value is noteworthy for even surpassing that of Leroy Sané, former Manchester City and Bayern player, estimated at 19.6 million euros. The difference to the second place on the list is eight million euros: Mattéo Guendouzi appears right behind the leader Victor Osimhen, from Galatasaray, valued at 50.9 million euros.

In the current season, Felipe Augusto has scored ten goals in 21 games. In the Turkish team, he has predominantly played on the right side of the attack, after performing as an attacking midfielder when he wore the Cercle Brugge jersey, from Belgium. In Corinthians' youth categories, he stood out as a center forward.

Even from a distance, the club from Parque São Jorge closely follows the athlete's development. Corinthians retains the right to 2.5% of a future negotiation through FIFA's solidarity mechanism. At 21, the player may once again stir the market in the next transfer window.

Felipe Augusto was transferred by Corinthians to Cercle Brugge in 2023 for 3 million euros (R$ 16 million at the time) and, in July 2025, agreed to move to Trabzonspor for 6 million euros (around R$ 38.9 million at that time). For the Belgian team, he recorded nine goals and six assists in 66 matches played.
