Corinthians face Vasco in a clash of extremes that could shape Cartola choices for matchweek 13, with the market closing at 18:29 Brasília time on Saturday 25.
According to Globo.com, the game is among the round’s most balanced, with probabilities of 37.5% home, 32.2% draw and 30.7% away. Corinthians have one defeat to Vasco in the past 15 years and an 85.2% home record in Itaquera.
Corinthians are the league’s second-worst hosts with six points from five and the least productive attack at 10.1 shots per match, 2.7 on target. They are unbeaten and yet to concede under Fernando Diniz, with 13 allowed in 26 this year and five straight clean sheets.
Vasco have the least reliable defence, the only side to concede in all 12 rounds, yet they lead for attempts with 17.4 per game. They have not won away but come in off wins over São Paulo and Paysandu.
In Cartola, Corinthians average 52.2 points per round, third worst, and Vasco 55.7. Even so, several individual picks appeal.
Hugo Souza, Corinthians, C$ 10,51, looks well placed, Vasco shoot often and Corinthians have five clean sheets. Matheus Bidu, Corinthians, C$ 13,46, has the second-best average and has topped 10 in four of his last five, plus a high MPV, 9,74.
Cuiabano, Vasco, C$ 13,07, is the top-scoring full-back with an 8,32 average and five goal contributions. Andrés Gómez, Vasco, C$ 14,39, leads the league for attempts with 4.3 per game and has three goal involvements in four.
