Corinthians visit Bahia on Sunday in the 20th round, kick-off 16:00 at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador, without six players and with five at risk of suspension.

According to Meu Timao, left-back Matheus Bidu did not travel due to a thigh issue, while midfielder Alex Santana is also out for the same reason.

Left-back Hugo Farias remains in physical transition after a left knee injury and will not be available. The medical list also includes forwards Vitinho, recovering from right hip and hamstring problems, and Kayke, rehabbing a ruptured left ACL.

The other absentee is Dutch forward Memphis Depay, currently on holiday after playing at the World Cup, who should rejoin the squad next week.

Fernando Diniz could be boosted by midfield pair Rodrigo Garro and Raniele. Garro is available again after serving a one-match ban for his third yellow against Remo. Raniele should return after overcoming a left ankle sprain and right knee trauma that ruled him out of the last game.

Five players are one booking from suspension for the next Brasileirão match against Athletico Paranaense, namely Hugo Souza, Fabrizio Angileri, Jesse Lingard, Kaio César and Yuri Alberto. Matheus Bidu is also on that list but will not play on Sunday.

Corinthians start the round seventh on 27 points, one place behind Bahia on 30. A win by two or more goals in Salvador could take them above their hosts and close in on the G5.
