Corinthians Women extend historic unbeaten run at Neo Química Arena

On the evening of last Thursday (4), Corinthians hosted São Paulo at the Neo Química Arena for the second leg of the Women's Paulista Championship semifinal and came from behind to win 2-1, with goals from Duda Sampaio and Jaqueline. With this result, the Brabas extended a historic record.

This was the 29th match for the Corinthians women's team at Neo Química Arena, and the Brabas reached their 27th victory, maintaining an incredible win rate of 93.1%. The team has scored 74 goals in the stadium and conceded only 16. The only two draws at the stadium happened in 2024, against Ferroviária and São Paulo.

Despite the impressive record, this was only the second time the Corinthians Women's team played at Neo Química Arena this season. The other match was against Cruzeiro, on September 14, in the final of the Brazilian Championship, when the Brabas won 1-0, with a goal from Thaís Ferreira, and became seven-time champions.

For now, the tendency is that the women's team will play the second leg of the state final away from Itaquera, since the São Paulo Football Federation scheduled the match for December 14, a Sunday, the same day the men's team plays the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semifinal against Cruzeiro.

Thus, the match could only take place at Neo Química Arena if it were moved up to the 13th, Saturday. The idea, in fact, was suggested by coach Lucas Piccinato in the post-match press conference, where he also revealed that president Osmar Stabile gave the green light for the match to take place in Itaquera if the date is changed.

While the second leg is scheduled for 10 a.m. (Brasília time) on Sunday (14), the first leg is initially set for exactly one week earlier, on the 7th, but at 11 a.m. (Brasília time). The venue for the match has not yet been determined.
