Corinthians Women reach 100 goals after Libertadores rout

Corinthians' 11 x 0 thrashing of Always Ready-BOL this Sunday, 5th, in the second round of Group A of the Women's Copa Libertadores, not only gave the Brabas the group lead with one round left to determine the qualifiers for the continental tournament knockout stage, but also allowed the team to break a significant record for the current season.

This is because, with the goals scored against the Bolivians, the Alvinegro surpassed 100 goals in 2025, considering the official matches in the five competitions already played by the team - Supercopa do Brasil, Brazilian Championship, Paulista Championship, Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores - as well as the two friendly matches played in the USA for the Teal Rising Cup, in July.

The historic goal was scored by Gabi Zanotti, six minutes into the second half against Always Ready. In total, with the 11 goals scored in this match, the Brabas reached 106 for the season, which combined with the 29 conceded resulted in 28 wins, nine draws and only four losses in 41 games - an overall performance of 75.6% of the points.

Corinthians is seeking its sixth Copa Libertadores title in Argentina, which would be the second title in 2025, as the team won the Brazilian Championship last month. The team also finished runner-up in the Supercopa do Brasil, in March, and was recently eliminated from the Copa do Brasil in the quarterfinals. Finally, they are still in the running for the Paulista Championship, which is in the final stretch of the first phase.
