Corinthians wrap up preparations for Botafogo clash in the Brasileirão

Corinthians wrapped up their preparations on Saturday morning (29th) for the match against Botafogo, valid for the 36th round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will take place this Sunday (30th) at 4:00 PM at Neo Química Arena, with broadcast by Globo and Premiere. Timão has 45 points and is in 12th place, while the team from Rio has 58 points and is in sixth place.

The activity at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava began with a video session, where the squad received specific tactical instructions for the clash. Next, the players did strength training in the gym before heading to the field. On the pitch, after warming up, Dorival Júnior led two tactical exercises focused on the game and also dedicated part of the training to set-piece plays.

The coach will not be able to count on midfielder José Martínez, who is suspended after receiving a red card in the previous round. As a result, Dorival is expected to decide on the replacement only shortly before the start of the match, considering the available options in the squad.

In the first round, Corinthians and Botafogo drew 1-1 at Estádio Nilton Santos, with Memphis Depay scoring the goal for the black and white. Now, playing at home, Timão seeks their 13th win in the championship to stay alive in the fight for a spot in the 2026 Libertadores.
