Costa Rica and Panama kick off the Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers gets underway as Costa Rica welcomes Panama in Group C at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
This Central American match up marks the fourth time the nations face each other in the Women’s U-17 Qualifiers. Panama leads the series over Costa Rica, two wins to one.
Costa Rica will start the Final Round after four consecutive wins in Round One. Nadia Medina was the team’s top scorer, finding the net 12 times for Las Ticas.
After back-to-back wins in Group B, Panama finished Round One with a draw against Bermuda to advance as a first-place team. Shaday Mow finished the opening round with four goals and was the leading scorer for Las Canaleras.
All-Time series
Costa Rica and Panama will face each other for the first time in the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship and the fourth time overall after previously meeting in the qualifiers. Panama has recorded two wins and one loss in those encounters.
