Could FC Barcelona's Andreas Christensen return to the Bundesliga? | OneFootball

Back in 2015, Andreas Christensen joined Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan from Chelsea FC, and he ended up spending two seasons in Germany before returning to London and later moving on to FC Barcelona.

Now, a return to the Bundesliga could be on the cards for the 30-year-old Danish international.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Christensen has rejected an initial offer from Barcelona to extend his current contract, which is set to expire this summer.

While the defender is still hoping to remain in Catalonia, clubs from the Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A and within La Liga are reportedly monitoring his situation closely and ready to move if an agreement can't be reached.

Christensen has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and has been sidelined since the end of December with a ligament issue.

The defender has made 97 appearances for Barcelona and 161 appearances for Chelsea before his move to Spain.
