Cristiano Ronaldo reacts to Grêmio post welcoming Luís Castro

Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to Grêmio’s joint Instagram post with Luís Castro about the coach’s arrival in Porto Alegre, leaving clap and fire emojis on Monday.

According to Globo.com, the comment appeared more than 24 hours after the original post was published.

The pair are compatriots. Ronaldo played under Castro at Al-Nassr from July 2023 to September this year, and together they won the Arab Champions Cup.

Castro was officially presented by Grêmio on Monday at the Arena.

Asked about leaving Botafogo for the Saudi club in 2023, he said one of the reasons was the chance to work with Ronaldo. He said he allowed himself the opportunity to join a player who is a global reference, naming Cristiano among those there. He also recalled the 14-hour days he once worked in Portugal’s fourth division when weighing the decision.
